Karla Fidora in Raptor Incident
|
March 17, 2005
SAN JOSE, CA - Former
Kumquat Computer CEO Karla Fidora was involved in a serious mishap with
a velociraptor at a popular amusement park here today. While filming a
television commercial for her upcoming reality TV series she apparently
became involved in a verbal altercation with the raptor, its trainer and
the production crew.

Mikey "Dino" Baldwin, the
park's game warden said that Fidora had previously assured him that she had
extensive experience dealing with large lizards in her previous job. However he said "Plucky,
the velociraptor was late getting to the shoot. Ms. Fidora was extremely
agitated with him, and began accusing him of unprofessional behavior. She
then started yelling at the crew, when Plucky unfortunately began swinging
her around in the air. It was quite traumatic for everyone, including
Plucky."
Fortunately, thanks to
quick thinking on the part of Baldwin and his staff, Fidora was pulled from
the raptor, "in the nick of time, he was just about down to her Bruno Magli
loafers", said the veteran dinosaur trainer.
Experts said this was not
the first celebrity-velociraptor incident, but that it should send a
message. Dr. Janet Turpin-Tyme of Stanford University said, "I think this
incident highlights the dangers of engaging in an argument with a 4000 pound
man eating monster. For Fidora a hard lesson, though she is reported to be
in satisfactory condition and is expected to make a complete recovery.
