Kumquat Computer Corporation today
announced the re-establishment of the its Corporate History and Archive
Program, intended to enshrine the corporation's proud history of
technological innovation, dedication to employees and management
excellence. Program manager Dinkert Johnson said, "so far, reaction to,
and support of, the program has been incredible, from both current and
former employees - and top management. We have collected some of the
most important pieces of corporate history for permanent preservation".
Among the most interesting items collected so far:
-
Fragments of shattered glass, marble
and structural steel collected within the Mountain View facility
following a localized earth tremor recorded in the building on the
very day that Karla Fidora was selected as the corporation's CEO in
1999.
-
The door and office furniture which
the board of directors barricaded themselves behind following their
announcement of the departure of Karla Fidora in 2005.
-
Kumquat Laboratory's Funkytown
experiment, an amazingly innovative plan to implant small computers
and radio transceivers into every man, woman, child and household
appliance on earth.
-
The contents of all of Kumquat's
famous mobility bazaars, seized by Finnish authorities at a Helsinki
internet cafe and auction house.
-
The founder's hut.
Do you have - or know of a Kumquat Relic
