One Year of Kumquat Computer It's hard to believe that Kumquat has been around for a year, or that it has been visited over 1 million times by users in over 122 countries. Who knew there were that many countries! It's been an exciting year filled with everything from real solicitations from Chinese mouse pad manufacturers to enter into business partnerships, a real invitation to the CEO of Kumquat to speak at an industry conference in the Middle East and of course a little copyright battle when we learned that part of the site had been stolen. We've redesigned parts of the site, which still receives heavy traffic every day to make it easier to find the funny stuff. And we've taken out the least popular stuff that was just cluttering up the works! We have some time to add some new content so keep checking back! We appreciate the mentions we've received in dozens of websites and blogs. They really do help promote the sites and encourage us to spend more time on the project. And of course your referrals to friends is critical to keeping the site going. Have a great 2006!
The Sites: Illuminated Kumquat Computer: is of course largely based on a well known computer company, but it really includes incidents and events from many years of experience at other corporate giants as well. Isn't it strange how similarly big companies behave these days? Uflarkistan: was an idea I had many years ago, while reading a SAS airline magazine somewhere over the Baltic Sea. There was an article about salt mining in something-is-stan. It seemed like such a harsh environment, I always wondered how such a place might go about promoting tourism. New World Bank: what is the world bank and what does it really do? Probably not what you think.
What's in the Works We have two completely new and very different sites in development. We're also working on ways to let you interact with the sites. In addition we have added links to the top level pages to allow you to receive an email when the site is updated. Thanks for your continued support.
